Photos: Bug's World
A batch of macro photos from this weekend.

Catterpillar: These guys are all over the Finley Wildlife marsh area. I have no idea what they turn into, but I liked the mist on this one.

Tent Caterpillars: found a small collective of these guys on a thorn bush next to the marsh. Finley Wildlife near Corvallis.

Ladybug: yet another close-up macro of this common beetle.

Tiny Butterfly: These guys are all over the garden. Not sure if they're pests or what.

Earwig: A real pest, but they also eat snail and slug eggs, or so sez the wife. They do pinch.

Andy,
I need to get an adaptor ring for my 50mm lens to use my close-up filter/lens. I love the sharpness of your photos.
You use a tripod as well, correct?
How do your carry your eqipment? I'm about to order a new backpack here soon - thinking the Kata R-103.
Anyways, great shots.

for rings and such Tiffin or Hoya are the good brands with good reps. Almost all my shots are hand held, too lazy. Even monopods can be a pain to carry around. We have a great padded canon backpack from several years back that has a seperate bottom area.
Well color me very impressed. Man I shake whether from a lack of or too much coffee. ;)
Hello! I am an amateur photoshopper. Your picture of the ladybug is absolutely the greatest. Could I have your permission to photoshop it and even enter it on a contest at worth1000.com ? I would of course give you credit for the original photography. Please let me know, thank you.
Lisa, I'm sorry but no. That site is a revenue generating scheme (read the "terms of service" where they can sell whatever you post to make money). I only lend my hard work to non-comercial uses.
Thank you for taking the time to reply anyway! I do love your pictures :)
