First Flickr Video

This has been a test of the emergency sock puppet performance. If this had been an actual performance the sock puppet would have been replaced by an actual famous person.

I just noticed the background - one pile o'felt for costumes and our creepy clownie wall art. Heh!

What you didn't mention in this post is that Chris spent hours making that little puppet. It now has glasses that he fashioned out of wire.

Thanks Bethany, he's so going to kill us for putting this up. But if you can't embarrass your kids, what's the point in having them?

Clownie is our favorite piece of art in the house (believe me, there's a ton). I bought it when I owned a gallery in CA with a couple of friends. It's actually one of the only wall art pieces we have bought, generally we've traded or the art is our own. There is a ton of detail in it, it's still one of her best works.

Embarrassing photos and videos of your kids are like money in the bank -- the Payback Bank of America. They'll getcha sooner or later. Your only hope is to stash the offending film somewhere they cannot find and let them know you have it. I took a photo of Uriah flashing the photographer in his bathrobe (about age eight or so) and he still worries I might bring that out unexpectedly. And I took a photo of Pat mooning a missle site in rural Montana. Don't want the feds to get their hands on that one.

Oh, and here's the original song the little guy is parodying, "La La Lemon" by The Bare Naked Ladies [youTube], it's an old Sesame Street tune.
