bottle + stick = fun!
This is a common magic trick so it might not be that much fun, but I'm sure you could find someone somewhere who doesn't know how it's done.

need these:
 bottle (not the see through kind)
stick, drinking straw or thick piece of rope
rubber ball (the secret ingredient)

(1) put the stick in the bottle
I know it's difficult but I'm sure after several tries you'll manage.

(2) flip it over ... ta-da!
The stick magically stays in the bottle. You can even hold the bottle up by the stick and then effortlessly remove the stick.

(*) the trick
Turn the bottle slowly so the ball inside doesn't make noise. Pull on the stick a little to wedge the ball between the stick and the side of the bottle. This trick is more impressive with a piece of rope, if you can find one that works.
