Worried about barefooted bad guys chasing you? Here's something I invented in my youth after watching those hooky ninja TV shows. The hero would slow down the bad guys by throwing a handful of spikes that always landed business side up.

your mission:
 get a handful of staples

(1) bend one end up
Just like the picture shows.

(2) done!
Now that wasn't so hard ... only 999 more to go!

(3) instant roadblock
These little guys will usually land pointy side up. But, don't use them for real! They hurt and you'll only end up stepping on one yourself.
